Meet Kelsie

Hey friends! I am so excited to have you guys here on the blog. I have always loved having my own personal blog that I could dabble away at when I was bored. So I honestly couldn't be more excited to have started this blog where I can actually share information and experiences that I HOPE will influence and help at least someone out there.

I grew up being very active playing sports; tennis, basketball, softball, volleyball, dance...you name it. I loved being active and therefore was always in pretty good shape. Then of course you hit the college years where I started on a gaining weight losing weight roller coaster. I became a lover of running and found that for me my body, I would just shed pounds running everyday. I started running half marathons and after two I ended up messing up my knee and since have not been able to run over a mile without a lot of pain.

In college I ended up meeting my husband and not to long after were married. He was active and loved being outside rock climbing, mountain biking, boating, and anything else that would keep him outdoors. We loved getting out together and doing any of these activities. During this time we also ate a Paleo lifestyle and really enjoyed doing so. After almost a year of being married I became pregnant with our little boy. As you mommies know, it is extremely hard living a "healthy lifestyle" of eating and exercise while pregnant.

So here I am now in life married to an amazing man, just settled into our first house, and getting use to being a mommy to my 1 month old little man. To anyone else out there that is in this situation or has been knows that it is a crazy time of life. One that "me time" gets put on the back burner.

I currently am still in postpartum recovery from having my son. I had the privilege of laboring natural; which to me was an incredible blessing. Because my son was posterior I ended up pushing for 3 hours. This has done some damage to my body to say the least. I tell you this because I want you to realize that there is going to be NO PERFECT TIME to get healthy and back into shape. You simply have to make the choice, and make it work.
I really hope that by the information Jessica and I have found and through our experiences we can share them with you here on this blog and influence you as well.
